Abstract
This group project aims to optimize the performance of a wind turbine airfoil prototype of LM Wind Power through the introduction of effective vortex generators. The primary objectives include enhancing aerodynamic efficiency and increasing power generation potential. The optimization process involves conducting wind tunnel and water channel Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) tests to analyze the effects of the vortex generators on airflow patterns and lift-to-drag ratios. By carefully analyzing the test results, the project aims to provide valuable insights and recommendations for improving the design and performance of wind turbine airfoils.
unfortunately, the related paper and test results are no longer available due to the long period since the completion of this project. Only some images back then are available.
